Rob Coonrod (aka CoonRob) is a guitarist and singer-songwriter from Interlochen, Michigan. A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and former student at CalArts, he began recording music early, collaborating with flutist Jeffrey Barker and Grammy-winning composer Jesse Lewis on his debut album, Waking Betty.

After busking across Europe and volunteering as an ESL teacher in Bolivia, Rob built his career in Los Angeles, performing with bands including Three Trees and Pink Fuzzy Animals. In 2013, he completed a nationwide solo tour supporting his album Unidentified Funk Objective.

Now based in Traverse City with his wife, Tara, Rob performs regularly throughout Michigan as a solo artist and with his band, Jazz Cabbage. He has also collaborated with Smokehowl and shared the stage with Blues Traveler.

Rob is currently recording a new album featuring a blend of funk, bossa nova, country, jazz, folk, and rock.
